A supporter who watched a football match between Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Sunday (5/27), died after been beating to death. The victim was Lazuardi (29), resident of Jl. Menteng Sukabumi, RT 08/03, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
“Lazuardi’s death probably due to wrong target because he wore blue shirt which is the color of Persib Bandung,” said Rahman (33), one of victim’s relatives, Monday (5/28).
According to him, the victim’s knowledge about football was lack because he did not like it. “He did not understand football. Yesterday he just tagging along his friends,” added Rahman.
Yahya (61), the victim’s father, has accepted his son’s death. “This is fate, maybe this is as it should be. I accept it,” he mourned while holding back his tears. It is planned that Lazuardi will be interred at Menteng Pulo Public Cemetery (TPU) after his body bathed.
Meanwhile, Head of Tanahabang Sector Police AKBP Suyudi Aryo Seto said the police are questioning the witnesses. “We are investigating this case. There are three witnesses being questioned,” he stated.
Lazuardi is one of the three victims beaten to death after the match of Indonesia Super League (LSI) between Persija and its archenemy Persib. The identities of two other victims are still unknown. All of them are male, where one of them (X1) was about 35 years old with height 165 centimeters tall, while the other (X2) was about 33 years old.
Regarding Lazuardi, he was found by the officers on Senayan East Parking Lot near swimming pool at 5.15 PM, while X1 and X2 were found together with Rinaldi, an injured victim, at Senayan Basketball Hall around 8.45 PM. Besides them, the officers also found four other injured victims. They are Manado TV journalist named Sandi Patria, a resident of Griya Timur Indah, Block C6/6, Bekasi, West Java; Jaki Mubarok, resident of Pabedilan, RT 03/02, Sirih Asih Urban Village, Cirebon, West Java; Sawaludin, resident of Cilamaya, RT 006/001, Cideng, Gambir, Central Jakarta; and Hendrik, resident of Jl. Warung Kiara, RT 002/01, Sirna Jaya, Sukabumi, West Java.
By the officers, the tree casualties were taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM), while the injured victims were rushed to Mintoharjo Marine Hospital, Central Jakarta.
