East Jakarta Local Public Order Police squads (Satpol PP) Matraman Sub-district hold controlling the street vendors (PKL) along Jl Ahmad Yani, Wednesday (3/17). The controlling was done because the traders occupied the public area, so that it disturbed public orderliness.

At 9 p.m the officers controlled them along Jl Ahmad Yani, crossing bridges, shelters and green lines. In the controlling, the officers curbed two drinking stalls and seven semi-permanent buildings. Then, the result of the orderliness was taken to a warehouse in Cakung.
Vice Head of Matraman Sub-district, Fremi Larasati, said that the controlling will take three days. It starts from Wednesday (3/17) to Friday (3/19). It will be focused on PKL occupying prohibited places. Besides that, all semi-permanent buildings or stalls which take advantage of public facility along Jl. Ahmad Yani will be included in the controlling program, especially in three urban villages namely Utankayu Selatan, Pisanganbaru, and Utankayu Utara.
