| `Nyepi`, No Traffic Congestion in The City BERITAJAKARTA.COM — 3/16/2010 3:50:49 PM
In comparison to usual days; today (Tuesday, 3/16) as Hindus in the country were observing the day of silence or locally known as Nyepi; a different atmosphere was seen on some thoroughfares in the capital, Tuesday (3/16), with no traffic congestion.
Based on monitoring from Jakarta Traffic Police’s CCTV, traffic on protocol roads such as Jl Jenderal Sudirman and Jl MH Thamrin flowed smoothly.
Similar conditions were also seen on Jl HR Rasuna Said in Kuningan, Jl Mampangprapatan, Jl Warung Jati Timur, Jl Ragunan, and inter-city turnpikes.
