Indonesia-China diplomatic relationship has been established for 60 years and still resulting in something, especially in tourism sector. As the result of the coordination, one of China television stations will make a television serial film entitled Travelling Asia-Indonesia. Previously, the television station has made similar program for other countries in Asia.
China Television Serial, China Central Television (CCTV) has documented several countries in Asia and now it is Indonesia`s turn to be published in China. This sister city coordination starts with the launching of Travelling Asia-Indonesia in City Hall, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/30). Technical coordination will be discussed further.
China Ambassador for Indonesia, Zang Qiyue, thanks to all parties that support the coordination. It is potential for both sides to reciprocally publish their areas. “We hope this program will tighten the relationship between two countries, Indonesia and China,” Qiyue said.
Meanwhile, Sapta Nirwanda for Directorate General of Marketing for Dept. of Cultural and Tourism stated the program will be able to tighten the coordination because tourism sector can be made as positive entry point.
Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo who opens the launching explains that city administration is very glad because Jakarta is becoming the co-host for the launching of the television serial. “Together we can see Chinese and Betawi culture from this program,” he explained.
Betawi culture is also influenced by China culture such as from its food, family tribe, etc. It is the best chance to promote Indonesia, especially Jakarta culture. “We hoped this coordination will strengthen the exsitence of sister city between Beijing and Jakarta,” Bowo continued.
