| Street vendors must implement K3LBERITAJAKARTA.COM — 10/23/2009 3:59:17 PM
As part of its efforts to maintain city order as well as to beautify its area, East Jakarta Municipal Administration continuously attempts to provide guidance to street vendors. One of the ways is by applying a program of cleanliness, orderliness, and beautiful environment to (K3L) to the vendors.
Through this program, it is hoped the street vendors can show good ethics in selling their merchandise and using facilities provided by the government.
East Jakarta Sub Department for Cooperatives, Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, and Trade head Sri Indrastuti says such an effort must be implemented so as to make the street vendors complying regulations and keeping environmental cleanliness.
On Friday (10/23), at least 50 street vendors doing business in Jatinegara area received counseling on the K3L program. In the session, the local government called on the vendors to build cooperation with government to create a healthy environment.
“By implementing K3L program, I hope their existence will not bring about a chaotic and dirty environment. Instead, they will make East Jakarta cleaner and more orderly,” she added.
