Chairman of Coastal Tourist Youth Forum (FORSIR), Fatoni, said the beach is deliberately named as Pasir Perawan (Virgin Sand), because it has beautiful scenery and a clear blue water coastline that is still natural and have not been destroyed by unruly human hands. But although relatively new, opened for tourist at the end of 2010, the beach is always crowded by the visitors. “The visitors at Pasir Perawan on weekend could reach 800 people and 4,000 people in a month. The visitors here are varied, either from local or foreign countries,” he stated, Sunday (11/11).
At Pasir Perawan Beach, the visitors can rent bikes to circling around the island all day by paying only Rp 20 thousand. Or, if the visitors are more fond of beach activities, they can rent snorkeling equipment for Rp 35,000, banana boat Rp 35 thousand, and boat with a capacity of 10 people only for Rp 400 thousand. All of those facilities are rented by the locals. “Thanks to the visitors, the locals could earn income from their business,” expressed Fatoni.
After all of those exciting activities, visitors can recharge their energy by resting and eating at wooden shacks belong to the locals. “Here, there are 6 food stalls to eat and drink, and 4 small shacks for visitors who want to take a rest,” told Fatoni.
For visitors who want to spend the night in this island, the locals also offered their houses as inns or home stays with the price of Rp 350 thousand per night for a room without air-conditioner, and Rp 600 thousand per night for a room with air-conditioner and television. “There are many rooms here. In addition, there also guides for foreign tourists,” added Fatoni.
Currently, there are 60 home stays in Pari Island. Sometimes, those home stays cannot fulfill the tourists’ booking due to the island is always full on weekends. But do not worry, you can book a room before departure, to enjoy the beautiful Pasir Perawan Beach in Pari Island. Interested?
