To help evacuating the victims of the fallen Fokker-27, at Halim Perdanakusuma, East Jakarta, Jakarta Government Health Department (Dinkes) has sent 23 ambulances to the site of the incident. Jakarta Dinkes also sent medics to assist the victims.
Head of Jakarta Dinkes, Dien Emmawati, said the ambulances are coming from community health centers (puskesmas) and Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Jakarta. "Each ambulance has its own medic to help evacuate the victims," Dien said, Thursday (6/21).
When she heard that a plane was going down on the citizens` housing area in Halim Perdanakusumah at 2.45 PM, she deployed the ambulances to the drop site straightaway. "If something happens, we will send ambulances right away, that is our fixed policy (protap). They evacuated the victims to the hospitals," she explained.
Jakarta Dinkes will cover their treatment costs of the victims who are citizens of Jakarta. Meanwhile, members of The Army, will be treated in accordance to the existing mechanism. "We will cover the treatment costs of Jakarta citizens, because we deemed this incident as disaster," she asserted.
