As many as 3,500 members, coaches, and administrators of the Youth Red Cross (PMR) entire Jakarta joined the activity of Jumpa Bakti Gembira (Joyful dedication; Jumbara) VII PMR 2010 in Cibubur, East Jakarta. The 3,500 members who followed the training and coaching were the result of selection of 36,000 members from PMR in every school in Jakarta.
They will be provided with skill and sportsmanship values, so they are expected to be able to develop their creativity among the Mula of PMR (elementary level) as many as 600 people, Madya (junior level) as many as 1,500 people, WIRA (high school level) as many as 900 people and teacher advisors as many as 500 people. The coach which will be held for three days will be filled by 45 activities divided into three fields, namely the field of healthy life skill increasing, the way to dedicate to the community, and strengthening national and international friendship.
Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo who opened the Jumbara VII activity admitted that he was proud of the students’ enthusiasm to join the activity. This activity is not only to understand the principles of the PMI, but also aims to introduce the values of humanity. "Members of PMR must understand the principle held by PMI and more important, they must know the values of humanity to develop a sense of compassion and solidarity," he said, Sunday (6/27).
Fauzi Bowo also delivered message, if the training is often held, the members will of course be more skilled, and those skills will be needed if disaster happens anytime.
