Transjakarta Public Service Board (BLU) will open special routes for two favorite tourism places, Ragunan Zoo and Ancol. The routes will be opened on September 20 to September 27, 2009. Transjakarta bus Harmoni-Ragunan track will operate at 9 am to 6 pm and Harmoni-Ancol operates at 9 am to 10 pm for the first day, while the next days at 7 am to 10 pm.
Dryati Asrining Rini for the board said the routes are provided for Jakarta people who do not have lebaran trip to find entertainment. They can go to these favorite tourism places easily, cheaply, and comfortably. “The routes are provided not only for Jakarta people, but also for other people who enjoy holiday here,” she said, Friday (9/18).
Several shelters passed by Transjakarta on Harmoni-Ancol route are Pecenongan shelter, Juanda, Jembatanmerah, Gunungsahari, Manggadua, Pademangan, and Ancol shelter. Usually, people should have trip to Ancol via corridor V (Kampung Melayu-Ancol), while to go to Ragunan, they must use Corridor VI (Dukuh Atas-Ragunan).
Until September 27, 2009, peole can take a special route of Harmoni-Ragunan via Monas, Bank Indonesia, Sarinah, Hotel Indonesia, Dukuh Atas 2 and stops at corridor VI shelters and ends in Ragunan shelters. “It means the route is longer and easier,” she added.
According to her, the route is provided to anticipate the jumps of passengers who go to Ancol via Dukuh Atas 2, Ragunan, and Matraman. The jump of passengers can reach 20-30 percent higher than in the normal situation.
The agency has made coordination with police department to manage the traffic line starting from Dept. Agriculture crossroad to Ragunan entrance. Based on the experience, the traffic jam always happens due to plenty of visitors at the second and third day of lebaran.
Transjakarta BLU will manage the bus operation at lebaran eve by operating up to 6.30 pm because the road will be fulfilled with people having Lebaran Eve parade or known as takbiran. Based on the board data, several roads used for parade are Monas, Hotel Indonesia, City Hall, Tugu Tani, Matraman, Kramat Jati and Pademangan.
At the first day of lebaran, transjakarta bus will be operated at 9 am to 10 pm, and the operation of transjakarta will go back to normal on the second day of lebaran at 5 am to 10 pm.
